Connecting Nature...

Michael's Eagle Scout project was the design and construction of a 40 foot truss bridge that reconnected the Nature Trail, the most heavily used woodland trail in Tyler State Park.  To complete such an arduous task Michael teamed up with other scouts and friends putting in more than 400 man hours. This project was one of the biggest influences on him to go into the field of landscape architecture. The project taught him about the importance of communication and design. Throughout the process he kept an ongoing dialogue between civil engineers, maintenance supervisors, and mechanical engineers.
